Specialised Diabetes Services

Diabetes educators at BCH provide education, support, monitoring and referral as appropriate to enable adults living with diabetes or at risk of diabetes to make the life style changes necessary to improve their health. 

Group education is available in addition to individual appointments. Groups include Caring for Diabetes and DAFNE (Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating) for adults with Type 1 diabetes.

Educators are also available to provide education within workplaces and to community groups.

Ballarat Community Health - Wendouree

Diabetes Nurse Educators work with individuals with diabetes and their families to better understand and manage diabetes and other related conditions.
