Wodonga Sports & Leisure Centre

The Wodonga Sports & Leisure Centre is a key community hub servicing the health and fitness needs of more than 2,000 members with annual visitation in excess of 300,000 direct visits.  

The facility includes a 25m indoor swimming pool, learner’s pool, spa and sauna, health club, health suites, group fitness studio, cycle studio, small group training studio, crèche, cafe and a multi-purpose 5 court sports stadium.  The Centre comprises a staff team of 85 who are are passionate in supporting members to be healthier, happier and more connected to their community.

The Gym is situated in the Walwa Community Centre, it includes treadmills, a rowing machine weight stations, a stationary bike, stair walker, free weights and benches, speedball and bag and ancilliary equipment. Following permission from your GP, an induction (which includes the development of a program) and a $10 deposit to secure a key, you can use the gym whenever it suits you. For a gold coin donation you can attend as often as you like to work on your own program, or join one of our exercise groups including Tai Chi, Aerobics, Powerpals, Powerbar etc..

A community health centre with services including HACC, District nursing, Meals on Wheels, health promotional activities, mini gym, fitness and health programs and 24/7 Accident and Emergency. Walwa Bush Nursing Service is a comprehensive primary health care facility with a 24/7 emergency department. Our services include HACC, palliative care, district nursing, health education, community car, out patients, case management, health promotion, community health, gym and associated programs, community centre, meals on wheels and planned activity group. The centre also has the Walwa Medical Practice on-site offering full general practice services, webster packing and pharmacy. The BNC also has a community bank, and technology centre.
