Katanning Regional Emergency Accommodation Centre

The Bunbury Salvation Army has TWO short stay crisis accommodation units for FAMILIES experiencing homelessness. Each unit can house up to five family members. Further eligibility criteria apply. Case management is provided to assist the transition out of homelessness. Families experiencing homelessness are advised to contact the program (during opening hours) and request an appointment with the crisis accommodation worker.

Salvation Army Bunbury - Crisis Accommodation and Doorways Program

 Services: there are food vouchers available & help with food & clothing & furniture. General family crisis line to book appointments over the phone. 

Services provided
• Support transition from homelessness 
• Advocate for young people to re-engage back into education or seek employment 
• Drug education support 
• Independent living programs; cooking, health and nutrition

Target Groups
Young people presenting with an issue of:
• Homelessness (primarily)
• Exposure to domestic violence
• Drug addiction
• Mental health
• Sexual abuse

Entry Requirements
• 15-20 years and homeless or at risk of homelessness 
• Telephone as initial contact to arrange a phone assessment

Armadale Youth Accommodation Service

Armadale Youth Accommodation Service (AYAS) offers short term emergency/crisis accommodation for young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. We offer a holistic approach to get young people into independent living. AYAS is a 6 bed facility accommodating up to three (3) single males and three (3) single females.

Lucy Saw Womens Refuge

Accommodation is subject to availability; please call the office during normal office hours to confirm service availability.

Counselling services are also available to women and children who are being provided crisis accommodation at this site.

Nardine Wimmin's Refuge

Services Provided: 
• Case management
• Emotional support
• Advocacy
• Referrals
• Liaison with Government Departments 

Target Groups
Women over 21 years of age, who are in crisis, homeless or forced to leave their homes due to domestic violence

Entry Requirements
Women must be over 21 and in a crisis and/ or domestic violence situation.

Zonta House Refuge Association

Zonta House Refuge Association provides supported crisis and transitional housing for women over the age of 18 who have experienced family and domestic violence, mental health and/or homelessness.

Our two refuges, Mary Smith and Starick House, provide safe and secure accommodation to women and children who are escaping domestic violence

Starick Services

Starick is a not for profit organisation which provides multi-layered support services in Perth’s south-east metropolitan area to women and children experiencing family and domestic violence.

Services provided
Crisis Accommodation
• YASS provides safe and secure crisis accommodation to young people aged 15 to 18 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness for up to 12 weeks (although longer stays can be negotiated).
• In addition to offering stable accommodation, it provides young people with independent living skills, emotional support and informal counselling as required. YASS also liaises with other agencies to support young people into long-term accommodation.

Young Parents' Program
• This program provides safe, secure, affordable medium-term accommodation to assist disadvantaged young people aged 16 to 25 - some of whom are young parents with children - to transition into independent living.

Financial Counsellor
• YASS provides a free financial counselling service to young people aged 15 to 25. Primarily offered to people already benefiting from Mission Australia's services, but also the wider community, this service assists budgeting and debts appeals and provides financial information, including referrals to legal representation if required.
• Assistance is also given to help clients acquire financial support from agencies such as Centrelink.

Target Groups
• Any young person who is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless

Entry Requirements
• Must be 15 – 25 years old and homeless or at immediate risk of becoming homeless
