Aboriginal Health Workers are available to provide culturally sensitive support clients and families, assist with navigating the health system, make referrals and facilitate engagement with services.

Aboriginal Health Workers assist Aboriginal people to have a safe patient journey through the Health Service. Aboriginal Health Workers can help with help, support, guidance, education and advice, language interpretations, health promotion, prevention and education, 48hr follow-up, referrals and links to other services including doctors and other community services.
Clients may self-refer.  Appointments are preferred however walk-ins are accepted.

Bathurst Health Service Aboriginal Health Service

Offers an Aboriginal specific multidisciplinary child and family health program. Supports families with children from birth to 5 years in their health, growth and development. Free home visits are offered for all new borns. Further information can be found on the website.
