- To understand what happens when you have high or low blood sugars.

- How food and exercise help you stay healthy for the future.

- Assists people who need insulin or tablets to control their diabetes.

- Our Diabetes Educator travels to Ayr, Bowen, Cardwell, Charters Towers, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Home Hill, Hughenden, Ingham, Moranbah, Middlemount and Richmond.

- Understand what diabetes is & how it affects your body
- Find out how diabetes medications work
- Figure out what types of food are best for you & the best type of glucose monitoring device for your circumstances
- Discover apps and other tools to provide reminders and help you track your progress
- Help you cope with stress and solve problems as they arise
- Analyse data from your diabetes devices to provide treatment recommendations

Alliance Clinics

A 3 hr group session for newly diagnosed or borderline type 2 diabetics. Facilitated by a diabetes educator and dietician the program educates on: what is diabetes, medications, healthy food choices and more.
