When you have dental surgery in hospital, it's likely that you'll be placed under general anaesthetic so you don't feel any pain. General anaesthetic puts you to sleep while letting the surgeon perform complex work on your teeth and jaw.
Your doctor will advise if you will be able to go home on the same day as your procedure or if you will need to stay overnight at hospital to recover.
