The Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment program (MERIT) is a court diversion pre-plea program which runs for a period of 12 weeks. The aim of the program is to reduce drug & alcohol related crime and harm to individuals associated with their drug & alcohol use. This program is only available to 18 years and above for people going through the Dubbo and Wellington Local Courts.
