Uniting Wimmera offers three AOD programs: Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselling, Care and Recovery Coordination and AOD Family Reunification (referrals via CPU). Counselling helps to set achievable goals to reduce alcohol and/ or other drug use, assists to minimise harm from using, increases motivation to change, builds knowledge and skills to prevent relapse, and builds community connections.
Care and Recovery Coordination sets treatment goals and plans and engages other supports and services to better work towards supporting the alcohol and other drug treatment journey.
Eligibility: Individuals aged 16 to 25, or their families who are experiencing alcohol and other drug issues.
To access Family Reunification program, current CPU involvement is required, as referrals come from CPU directly.
