Our prevention and education services are an integral component of the work of the organisation. These are targeted to the ACT community and also affected communities including GLBT communities. Peer education workshops are regularly developed and delivered with these groups. Websites and social marketing strategies are important services under this category. This includes the AAC website and Qnet for same sex attracted youth, which is managed and updated by us.
Local education campaigns that are developed by the AAC as well as national campaigns are implemented. A program called HIV Today provides accurate information on current HIV related issues for human services organisations and other interested groups. A regular newsletter is developed and circulated to members and related agencies, both government and non government.
