Provides support through the Primary Health Care centres for people who have problems related to drug and alcohol abuse. Clinical care activities are focused on counselling sessions and target both the family and the community environments. The service is also involved in public health promotion by providing support to individuals to make healthy and informed decisions about their lives. Referral to other mental health workers and other agencies is provided as required.
