INPATIENT SERVICE
This service offers nutrition assessment and education for conditions requiring nutrition intervention including nutrition support, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, gastroenterology and all aspects of renal nutrition including peritoneal and haemodialysis. Referrals (preferably electronic) are accepted for hospital inpatients.
OUTPATIENT SERVICE
At Western Hospital, outpatient referrals are received from hospital outpatient clinics only. A dietetic service is also provided to the Diabetes Education Clinic, Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and Obesity Clinic.
At Sunshine Hospital, referrals are accepted from staff within the hospital, also shared care GPs, private consulting rooms at Sunshine Hospital and Early Intervention agencies for women and children.
At The Williamstown Hospital, referrals are accepted from both hospital medical officers and GPs.
