Provides the following treatment and care for children and young people: • management of diabetes for recently diagnosed patients • management of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) for recently diagnosed patients or those with pre-existing diabetes • diagnosis and investigation of rare forms of diabetes and Type 2, monogenic, neonatal and other forms of diabetes • comprehensive, multi-disciplinary and long-term management of patients with established diabetes and cystic fibrosis related diabetes.
