The Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT) is a multidisciplinary service including the disciplines of Nutrition & Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Social Work & Speech Pathology. The team provides services at home or in the community to frail older people, people with a disability and their carers. This includes education, treatment, therapy and self care strategies to help manage a range of health conditions and meet individual needs. It's about you - working with you to stay active, connected with your local community and stay as independent as possible in your own home. Podiatry: Provides advice and support to maximise health, well-being and independence at home and in the community. The team's Podiatrists can help in the management of foot and lower leg conditions including wounds, pain, nail and skin problems. They can also help people with Diabetes and Rheumatoid Arthritis who are at greater risk of foot problems. (The service does not provide ongoing maintainence of nails, corns and callouses)
