The Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT) is a multidisciplinary service including the disciplines of Nutrition & Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Social Work & Speech Pathology. The team provides services at home or in the community to frail older people, people with a disability and their carers. This includes education, treatment, therapy and self care strategies to help manage a range of health conditions and meet individual needs. It's about you - working with you to stay active, connected with your local community and stay as independent as possible in your own home. Occupational Therapy: provides advice and support to maximise health, wellbeing and independence at home and in the community. The team's Occupational Therapists are able to help improve independence with daily tasks such as household, personal care and leisure activities. They provide advice regarding home safety by recommending bathroom and toilet aids or home modifications such as the installation of rails and steps.
