Hunter Integrated Pain Service (HIPS) provides multidisciplinary assessment and treatment for people with chronic non-cancer and cancer pain. The Acute Pain Service at John Hunter Hospital is linked to HIPS and manages post-operative and post-trauma pain.
HIPS also works collaboratively with the Complex Paediatric Pain Team at John Hunter Children's Hospital and the Palliative Care team at the Newcastle Calvary Mater Hospital.
