Safeguards is a Child and Adolescent response team designed to provide rapid and short-term support for children and young people aged 0 - 17yrs experiencing a mental health crisis. The service will provide coverage to the upper Blue Mountains and Lithgow. Service runs 7 days a week. Children and adolescents experiencing a mental health crisis, such as suicidality, self-harm, emotional dysregulation or behavioural disturbance, can expect contact from the team within 48hrs.
