Provide Service- The early years of a child's life are the most important for learning and development. FaFT is a Department of Education program operating throughout the NT which strengthen child positive relationships in families, acknowledges and builds upon indigenous child rearing practices, promotes positive behaviour in children and builds confidence in parenting. The Families as First Teachers Program aims to:
1. Build family knowledge of early learning through active engagement in quality early childhood education programs. This is achieved through use of the evidenced based program, the Abecedarian Approach Australia.
2. Develop early learning and parent engagement in playgroups with a focus on literacy and numeracy foundations, and orientation to preschool programs
