Midwest Community Alcohol and Drug Service (MCADS) aims to reduce alcohol and other drug related harm for the people of the Midwest by working with individuals, families and the community to reduce the impact of drug use.
Services provided
All our services are free and confidential and include:
• One on one and group counselling for alcohol and other drugs
• Advise and support to individuals and their significant others regarding alcohol and other drug misuse
• Alcohol and other drug education and awareness programs in; prison, the community, business, government and non-government agencies
• Management of Pharmacotherapies [Suboxone & Methadone]
• Offices in Carnarvon and Meekatharra and outreach to regional towns
• NSP & NSEP
• POP, STIR and YPOP
• Cannabis Intervention Sessions [police diversion]
• Referral to specialist detox and rehab services
Target Groups
• Individuals, families, youth, couples and community members
• The service employs a good mix of female/male, aboriginal/non aboriginal and CALD counsellors.
Entry Requirements
• All substance related issues qualify
• All ways of referral are acceptable (self, phone, in person, by DOCS, GP, DCP, school, employer
