Hospital in the Home (HITH) allows people to be Canberra Hospital inpatients under the care of a Specialist, but in the comfort of your own home.
The home service component of HITH runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The infusion centre is open from 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Saturday. Each Wednesday it opens at 9:30am.
You are eligible for HITH if you:
– You live in Canberra or Queanbeyan;
– You have a telephone;
– You are self caring or have a suitable carer;
– Your condition is clinically appropriate for home-based care;
– Your home environment is safe for the delivery of treatment.
