This service offers assessment and treatment for high-risk patients and patients with diabetes who have an acute foot problem or ulceration, which may require wound management. After assessment patients requiring non-acute treatment may be referred to local agencies for ongoing care.
Referrals are accepted for:
• Current hospital inpatients
• Current outpatients attending the Western Hospital Vascular and Diabetes
clinics. Referrals are prioritised.
• Referrals from other clinics are accepted only for patients presenting with an
acute or high-risk problem. Please page the Podiatrist to discuss.
