A/Prof. James van Gelder is a Consultant Neurosurgeron & Spine Surgeon with experience of over 18 years in the field. He is an expert in minimally invasive (keyhole access) procedures.
Telehealth services are available to patients who have difficulty getting to a specialist or live in rural and remote areas. We may be able to access your images online if your radiology clinic has an online access facility. Alternatively, arrangements need to be made for a digital copy of the scans to be sent by post or electronically. Please allow time for these arrangements. Video consultations are organised on a weekly or fortnightly basis at a time block exclusively allocated to Telehealth to ensure reduced waiting times. Appointments for telehealth consultations can be requested by phone or email. COST Charges for Telehealth are in accordance with the AMA schedule of fees. Consultations are partly covered by Medicare.
