The Oncology Unit is a day-stay unit providing a wide range of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological response modifiers & symptom supporton both an inpatient & outpatient basis to medical oncology/haematology patients within the region. Patients care is planned through a multidisciplinary team process. This involves close liaison & referral to services such as radiotherapy, social workers, dieticians, district nurses, breat care nurse, GPs, palliative care & other specialist services.
