Additional information
Triage is done by an experienced & specialised Triage Nurse as soon as possible after the patient arrives in Emergency. Patients are 'triaged' on the basis of the speed with which they need medical attention. For some clients with less serious problems there may be quite long waits in Emergency as naturally, those with more urgent conditions must be prioritised. There is an after hours medical clinic across the road from the hospital which may suit some people with less urgent needs.
