Additional Information: Cootharinga North Qld works with people living with a disability, their families and the community to enhance services and resources for North Queenslanders living with disabilities. Recognising that people living with disabilities are marginalised in the community, we work actively to break down barriers and provide support and assistance in non-institutional settings within the community. People are supported in their own homes or through the Community Living service. The needs and chosen goals of the individual shapes their daily activities and the support provided. Consequently, each house has its own unique character. Our goal is to support individuals in their own homes, and are dedicating our efforts to this. Available sevices include Rehabilitation Technology Service, Community Access, Therapy Service, Childrens Therapy Service, Respite Service including an Activity and Respite Centre, Support Service (Family & Individual) and a Resource & Information Centre.
