The Drug & Alcohol Withdrawal Network (DAWN) is a free, home based withdrawal service operating out of a number of locations in the Perth metropolitan area.
This service is staffed by registered nurses who provide home visits to people undergoing drug or alcohol withdrawal. The DAWN Nurses work in shared care with the consumers GP and their nominated support person in the community to assist people in safely withdrawing from alcohol and other drugs in their home environment.
Education and support is provided to consumers, their significant other or family member (support person) and GPs . Prior to or during the withdrawal planning, clients are referred to counselling, rehabilitation or other appropriate services for continuing care.

DAWN Youth Services operate at two headspace sites in Fremantle and Osborne Park. The nurses provide psychosocial support, including harm reduction counselling to young people aged 12 – 25 years with alcohol and other drug and mental health issues.
Target Groups
People with an alcohol or other drug dependency residing in the Perth metropolitan area wishing to cease or reduce their substance use in their home environment.
