Services Provided
• Crisis Accommodation Service - Short term accommodation service for adult males
• Community Support – Independent living program is provided to adult males and females who have a diagnosed severe and persistent mental illness
• Housing Support Street to Home – The service supports people who have a history of rough sleeping towards maintaining accommodation and living independently
• Drug and Alcohol Assertive Outreach Service – In partnership with St Patricks' Community
• Support Services, the service works with street drinkers to improve health outcomes for this group
• Information and referral to appropriate treatment facilities
• Case Management
• Addictions counselling
• Advocacy
• Breakfast
• Laundry facilities
• Access to computers
Target Groups
• Single men and women (excluding Crisis Accommodation Service)
• People 18 years and older who are homeless (without accommodation), or at risk of homelessness
Entry Requirements
If a person has a mental health issue, a referral letter is required from a professional i.e. General Practitioner, Psychiatrist etc., to provide the service with social and psychological history to enable staff to support the person effectively.

55 Central Inc. is a specialist organisation that operates in the inner city metropolitan area and works to break the cycle of homelessness by providing person centred, evidence based services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The services that 55 Central offers are as follows:
a. Crisis accommodation for single adult males aged 18 and above;
b. Community Support program for male and female adults who have a diagnosed mental health;
c. Street to Home program for male and female adults who have a history of rough sleeping; and
d. Crossroads project for male and female adults who suffer from alcohol and drug related harm and anti social behaviour.
