Ante natal support is provided from the second trimester of pregnancy. Support is also provided where there is an apparent attachment disorder and the child is four years old or less. The Baby & U project is a home visiting service to women identified as being at risk of perinatal depression or anxiety. Centacare offers parenting and mental health support, at home, to women from the second trimester of pregnancy, up until their child is six months old.
Each family will be visited once per week/fortnight where the staff member will work through 'tip sheets' from an Education Pack. The program covers six areas: Social & Emotional Development, Rest & Routines, Parents & Their Supports, Nutrition, Cognitive Development, Safety & Supervision.
Each family receives a Pre-birth pack consisting of a relaxation DVD, massage oils and a book on reducing stress. After the baby is born families will receive a Birth pack to support and enhance baby's development. A center based parenting group will also be available from third trimester .

Bilby Bus
Intensive Support Playgroups 'The Bilby Bus' is a supported playgroups program for families with children under the age of five, who are homeless and/or disengaged from community services. The playgroups are run in public spaces, often adjacent to public housing or shopping centres. Workers are also able to offer support to families outside of the playgroup setting.Dads' Business
Dads' Business aims to improve outcomes in ante natal and post natal health, improve outcomes for children's physical and post natal health, and to improve the social and emotional development of children through working with fathers and fathers-to-be in the Playford region.Kids in Focus
Kids in Focus is a recently funded early intervention family focussed component of the wider National Drug Strategy. Kids in Focus focuses on supporting families with alcohol and other drug problems through providing intensive support to family members, assisting parents to parent more effectively, supporting their children and building resilience. Kids in Focus is a home based program which uses the Parenting Under Pressure model in addition to a variety of attachment based therapeutic interventions. The service operates out of Salisbury and covers the Northern metropolitan region along the Gilles Plains to Gawler corridor. Additional Information: Education Drug Diversion Intervention Team (EDDIT) provides outreach early intervention services to children and young people between the ages of 10 and 30 years where there is a risk of drug use. This includes families where the parent is drug using. See website link for further information available: EntryProcedures All referrals to this part of the program is through the Police Drug Diversion Line. The service works from a harm minimization perspective, supporting the young person to make their own choices about their drugs use and any potential change and the service is delivered in the context of a co-morbidity framework. EDDIT also works at addressing the underlying issues that relate to offending and the impact this has on the individual, family, community and criminal justice system.

Additional Information: The Targeted Early Intervention Service (TEIS) is a multi disciplinary team that provides wraparound outreach services for vulnerable children and families. Working in partnership with 12 Families SA district centres across metropolitan Adelaide, Gawler/Barossa, Mount Barker, the Fleurieu, Kangaroo Island, Murray Bridge, the Riverland and Mount Gambier, TEIS can only receive referrals from Families SA.
