Alwyndor is funded by the Commonwealth Australian Government and we are not-for-profit provider of 'Ageing in Place' Residential Accommodation, Community and Therapy Services located in the seaside suburb of Hove. The facility provides some 134 permanent residential beds, across all levels of care, dementia and respite care, together with 6 Transitional Care Packages which provide rehabilitation to return home. Community Services provide over 200 Home Care Packages (HCP) which comprise of Consumer Directed Care (CDC) Level 1 to Level 4 and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) that operate on an outreach basis within the local community. Alwyndor also provides an extensive range of Allied Health and specialised services. Alwyndor Therapy Services division provides an extensive range of services to our residents and the wider community and includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, social Work, exercise and activity programs, falls prevention, memory support and other specialised care programs and services.
Alwyndor provide a number of day to day onsite services including a Café, Hairdressing Salon, Laundry, Library, Transport, Gym, Religious Services, a Men's Shed, Cinema Screen, movies on demand in lounge areas, free wifi & free internet computers and we have a privately owned bus. The extensive grounds have large gardens including a bbq area and a mini golf green are also available. At Alwyndor resident wellbeing is paramount and our lively lifestyle team are focused on providing an eventful monthly calendar with something for everyone.
Alwyndor has embarked on a major refurbishment and upgrading program that has taken Dorothy's vision and progress it firmly into the 21st century. The vision remains strong, and the commitment to maintaining her legacy continues, as we move to the next stages of quality care to our elderly community members.
