The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) has many local groups supporting mothers and providing fun, informative meetings.
Meeting times are pre-arranged and the groups will be looked after by a trained ABA volunteer breastfeeding counsellor or educator who lives in the area.
Most groups will get together once or twice a month for a variety of activities such as:
– Discussions on breastfeeding and parenting topics;
– A talk from a guest speaker;
– A lunch, morning or afternoon tea and chat;
– A play in the park, a walk or visit to a local attraction;
– A special event such as a movie afternoon or dinner out.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) ACT/ Southern NSW Branch offers an electric breast pump hire service. The breast pumps available for hire are those used in hospitals and are sometimes referred to as 'hospital-grade'.
A trained ABA volunteer breastfeeding or counsellor will be able to help you with any questions about using the breast pump, expressing and storing your breastmilk, and all other aspects of breastfeeding.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) provides information about breastfeeding, education classes and support to expectant parents and breastfeeding mothers.
Although breastfeeding is natural, it doesn't always come easily and is a learned art. Our classes aim is to provide expectant parents with the knowledge and confidence to successfully breastfeed.
Classes are designed for expectant parents to prepare for the vital days, weeks and months after your baby's birth.
