Living in Australia workshops – Cultural Transition
Group Information/Practical sessions, developed and implemented in consultation with clients to provide a basic introduction to Australian culture as well as socially/legal acceptable behaviours in Australia.
Case work
Individual referrals and advocacy. Available 5 days per week using an appointment based system.
Community Advocacy
Work with mainstream agencies /services providers to develop cultural awareness to work effectively with migrants and SGP target groups. Network and liaise with relevant/identified service providers, aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge in working with the CALD community or SGP clients.
Community development
LCMS provides assistance to SGP target clients with community development and in building groups to build the new emerging communities capacity to be independent and operate efficiently as an incorporated body.
Interpreting Services
LCMS provides interpreting services for clients as required.
CentaVic ESL Educational Services' Multicultural Playgroup is open to refugee families and any other interested families who may wish to learn and brush-up on their English skills.
