Community Foodies is a State-wide program which aims to build local communities' capacity to make healthy food choices.
Foodies are trained volunteers who promote and support healthy eating in a variety of settings such as community gardens, schools, neighbourhood centres and meeting venues.
Their activities can range from cooking demonstrations, breakfast clubs, menu planning, supermarket tours, cooking on a small budget, presentations on healthy lunchboxes, etc.

Our services include family and individual therapy, group programs for children and for parents/carers, and
information for parents/carers as well as other stakeholders working with the family.
We specialise in:
• Emotional issues – anxiety, fears or worries, feelings of sadness and depression, low self-worth, grief
and loss, self-harming, suicidal thinking, mood changes, relationship difficulties, school refusal and/or
abuse.
• Behavioural issues – aggression, destructiveness, disruptiveness and/or distractibility.
• Social issues – social withdrawal, family conflict, and social isolation and/or friendship problems.
• Mental illness – confused or delusional thinking and/or hallucinations

AMIGOS (Addressing Mental Illness and Giving Others Support) - A free group for young people 16-25 who have experienced mental health issues such as depression, mood disorders, anxiety or psychosis. A group for people who want to move back into their community and increase their contact with others as they recover from mental health issues. AMGIOS can meet other young people who share similar experience, hang out with new people, learn about local area services, build on skills for staying well and try activities such as swimming, cooking, games, music, art, bowling.
Young people aged 16 - 25 who are experiencing/have experienced mental health issues. Must be able to attend the group on their own (a support person can come for the first two sessions).

Primary Health Service at GP Plus Health Care Centre Marion have a specialised service prioritised for those with the greatest need.
We are able to see those individuals who are considered HIGH RISK due to an underlying medical condition.
We also have service provision for vulnerable population groups. Services we provide include diabetes foot health assessment and education, high risk foot care, and manufacture of pressure-relieving (accommodative) orthotic devices.
A health professional referral is required for clients wishing to access the service for an initial podiatry assessment.

Primary Health Service at GP Plus Health Care Centre Marion provides individual counselling and therapeutic group services for a range of social/emotional issues including depression, anxiety, stress, domestic violence/abuse, sexual assault, grief and loss and relationship breakdown.
Referral to other services where appropriate.
This is not a crisis service.
Clients self-refer into the Intake service. A Social Worker will assess the client's situation and will place the client on the waiting list or refer to a more immediate and/or appropriate service. Clients are then offered a face to face counselling appointment when their name progresses to the top of the waiting list.
