Additional Information:
Physiotherapy is a clinical health science and profession that aims to diagnose and rehabilitate people with movement disorders by using evidence-based, natural methods, such as exercise, motivation, manual therapy, education and advocacy.
Physiotherapy differs from other professions in that our emphasis is on the correction of movement dysfunction which can be the cause of problems such as lower back pain, sports injuries or work related musculoskeletal problems.
Physiotherapy is not just about the treatment of symptoms, we are committed to interventions that importantly identify the cause of your symptoms. Once the cause is identified we can then prescribe an appropriate treatment/rehabilitation program, which may include a combination of hands on treatment such as mobilisation/manipulation, soft tissue mobilisation, specific rehabilitation and importantly a home exercise program.
We have HICAPS available in the centre to allow direct billing at the point of sale to most private health funds.

Additional Information:
Remedial massage (or deep tissue massage) is the discipline of using massage for the specific benefits of sports and exercise participants. It is tailored to each individual's needs in order to positively enhance their normal daily activities or their ability to perform sports.
It involves the management, mobilisation and rehabilitation of the soft tissues of the body e.g. muscles, ligaments and tendons. In other words, the structures of our body that allow movement.
The benefits of remedial massage include:
– Improved circulation and lymphatic flow (important after competition or hard training);
– Increase or decrease in muscle tone (to redress imbalances and help with relaxation of tense muscles);
– Increase or decreased muscle length (helps improve flexibility and improve posture);
– Sports massage also helps to prevent injuries by predicting potential problem areas.
Regardless of whether you exercise or play sport to keep fit, or if you compete from club to international levels, sports massage may be able to help you.
We have HICAPS available in the centre to allow direct billing at the point of sale to most private health funds.
