Additional Information: The Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Care (RACC) Speech Pathologists are trained to assess and treat people with swallowing and communication disorders. Speech Pathologists provide both inpatient and community-based services. For inpatients they work in acute wards 11A & 12B at The Canberra Hospital, and at the Rehabilitation Independent Living Unit (RILU). Inpatients are also seen at the Subacute and Non-acute unit located at Calvary Hospital. Community based services include the Community Rehabilitation Team (CRT) at Phillip Health Centre and through the Transitional Therapy and Care Program (TTCP). Some clients may be seen in their own homes depending on circumstrances. There are eligibility criteria to qualify for this service, please contact the administrator for further information.

Additional Information: The Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Care (RACC) Occupational therapists are health professionals trained to help you overcome limitations caused by injury or illness or the effects of ageing. Their goal is to assist you to be as independent as possible and to maximise your personal productivity, well-being and quality of life. Occupational therapists work on acute wards 11A & 12B at The Canberra Hospital, at the Rehabilitation Independent Living Unit (RILU) and within the Community Rehabilitation Team (CRT) where they can come out to your house to continue your rehabilitation after your hospital stay. There are eligibility criteria to qualify for this service, please refer to information on Community Rehabilitation Team (CRT).
