The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Southside located at Building A, 2nd Floor, Callam Offices Easty Street Woden, provides assessment and treatment for children and young people under 18 years who are experiencing mental health problems.
CAMHS clinicians assist in the management of serious and complex problems in children and adolescents through their comprehensive assessment and treatment program. CAMHS also provides education to, as well as consultancy and collaboration with other services working with children and adolescents. Please note that CAMHS is unable to provide assessments for ADD/ADHD, or Autism Spectrum Disorders. CAMHS is a secondary referral service. This means that all consumers need to have been assessed by a G P, school counsellor or other health professional prior to contacting CAMHS for assessment.
