Two facilitated walking groups are available:
1. Sebastopol (260 Vickers Street) meet at 11am Wednesdays during school terms. Walkers are usually accompanied by BCH staff. New participants are welcome and will begin on a modified schedule if required. Walks are sometimes scheduled from alternative venues such as Victoria Park. Prior registration is required for participation in the walking groups.
2. Stockland Wendouree. Available for all but specifically designed to encourage physical activity by people with limited mobility. Walking group meetings at Muffin Break inside Stockland at 8am on Tuesdays. Walks include a number of circuits around the inside of the centre, enabling various walking speeds. The group meet up at various intervals to complete Tai Chi. New walkers are always welcome, with pre-registration required. This is a facilitated walk designed to overcome all weather barriers with a safe, flat walking path.

The program addresses the needs of a small group of up to ten participants re questions often asked, such as: What is family violence? Why and how does it happen? Can it be stopped? What about the children? What about me? Hope do women cope? What hope is there for the future? How do I look after myself, my children?
The group meets weekly for eight weeks, and is held twice yearly – or more often according to need.
Individual counselling is also offered by the agency, as an alternative to group work.
An interview is required to access the group, but this can be arranged by telephone.

The objective of the program is to keep young people (aged 10-18) connected to school and community. It focuses on building partnerships and community development. Annual brokerage funds are available for programs to meet gaps in existing services. Brokerage rounds usually close in March, with projects designed to be completed in the school year.
Individual brokerage funds are sometimes available for young people that meet eligibility criteria where no other funding sources are available.

Provides support to young people aged 15 - 25 years who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or affected by family violence.
The aim of this program is to re-establish links with the family where appropriate and assist young people with independent living skills, education and training and accessing safe, secure and affordable housing.
Any young person requiring information about emergency or supported accommodation can call the Centre and speak with a worker, but all young people requiring support must first contact Opening Doors.
