Additional Information:
Meals on Wheels is a program that provides quality, nutritious meals to people assessed as eligible for the service. The meals are cooked locally and then delivered to clients throughout Sunraysia and the Mallee Track by volunteers.
The program is run by a number of agencies — Mildura Meals on Wheels, Sunraysia Community Health Services, and Mallee Track Health & Community Service. These agencies have come together in partnership with Mildura Rural City Council to provide a more effective service to the community.
At present, Sunraysia Community Health Services, Mildura Meals on Wheels and Mallee Track Health & Community Service provide Meals on Wheels services - and will continue to do so. From November 2008 all Meals on Wheels assessments will be conducted through Mildura Rural City Council's Aged & Disability Services. If you know of someone who is in need of Meals on Wheels, a referral should be made to Aged & Disability Services at council.
Referrals can be made by anyone e.g. self, friend, relative, doctor etc.
Mildura Rural City Council Aged & Disability Services Assessment Officer will carry out a Living at Home assessment to determine your eligibility for this service. At the same time they may also assess your needs for services such as homecare, respite or property maintenance. This assessment takes place in the person's home.
Please contact MRCC if you have any questions about the assessment process.

Additional Information:
The core components of SFYS are the establishment of linkages/coordination between youth services (in schools and in the community) which are available to respond to the needs of young people.
This includes community mapping, development of services, enhancement of effectiveness of existing services, provision of information about service availability and the establishment of protocols between services and schools.
The capacity to purchase services as a result of identification, by the SFYS, of current gaps in service availability.
This involves the purchase of services through brokerage funds to address current gaps in service availability as identified by the schools and community clusters.
If you require any further information regarding the above please contact Jill Joslyn on 5018 8278 or call in at MYCentre 48 Twelfth Street Mildura.

Additional Information:
Mildura Rural City Council issues two categories of Disabled Persons Parking Permits. Category one enables the holder of the permit to park a vehicle in a parking bay specifically reserved for use by disabled motorists or passengers and to park vehicles in other areas for twice the period longer than permitted by the restrictions for that area. Category two also allows the parking of vehicles for twice the length of time permitted, but does not allow a vehicle to be left standing in a disabled zone.
Such permits are effective for three years
