Anyone can make a referral to Inner Melbourne Post Acute Care. The Volunteer Program brings people in need in contact with a local volunteer. The program targets people experiencing isolation and disadvantage and links them with a volunteer community member. Interested community members will find opportunities to gain skills in volunteering and contribute to their local community in a meaningful and positive way. NRCH has many types of volunteer roles across several of its services, groups and activities.

North Richmond Community Health's youth work service provides support to young people aged twelve to twenty-five years who either live on or have a connection to the North Richmond public housing estate. The youth worker provides supportive counselling; advocacy for legal, family and educational issues; referrals to local services and assistance in linking into sport and recreational activities. Group activities such as basketball and outings are run on a regular basis.
