Codral Original Day & Night Cold & Flu is a brand of tablets containing a combination of cold and flu medicines. You can buy them from a pharmacist without a prescription.

Codral Day & Night is used to relieve cold and flu symptoms. There are two types of tablets: one type is taken in the daytime and the other at bedtime. The daytime tablets contain paracetamol, pseudoephedrine and codeine; the bedtime tablets contain paracetamol, pseudoephedrine and tripolidine. The daytime ones might keep you awake. The bedtime ones might help you sleep.

Paracetamol reduces pain and fever. Pseudoephedrine reduces stuffiness in the nose to make it easier to breathe. Codeine blocks pain and your emotional response to pain. Tripolidine reduces allergic symptoms.

Check with your pharmacist before taking them with any painkillers such as paracetamol.

The tablets are to be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
