What it is used for
For use in the preparation of Technetium TC99m mertiatide for use as a renal imaging agent and for estimating split renal function. INDICATIONS AS AT 19 JULY 2001: Technetium Tc 99m mertiatide is a renal imaging agent for use in the diagnosis of congenital and acquired abnormalities, renal failure, urinary tract obstruction, and calculi in adults and pediatric patients. (See Pediatric Use.) It is a diagnostic aid in providing renal function, split function, renal angiograms, and renogram curves for whole kidney and renal cortex.
How to take it
The way to take this medicine is: Intravenous. This medicine or fluids is given through a needle or tube (catheter) inserted into a vein.
- Store between 15-25 degrees Celsius
- Protect from Light
- Shelf lifetime is 12 Months.
