Occupational Therapists at Inner East Community Health Service work with older people and people with disabilities living in our community. The Occupational Therapists assist these people maintain independence in meaningful daily activities.
Clients must be HACC eligible (EACH clients are not eligible or clients living in a high level residential care facility)
DVA gold card holders are not eligible for our service as they are entitled to private OT services.
Priority is given to clients who live, work or study in the Cities of Boroondara and Yarra.
Client must have a Medicare care, Healthcare card or an International Health and Medical Service card (IHMS card). If the client has an IHMS card we will discuss eligibility with the person's case manager.
Clients need to be willing to have the assessment at their home.

Assessment and therapy for children focusing on fine and gross motor skills, attention and listening, sensory processing, play and self help skills.
Group Programs offered include:
• Parent-Child Mother Goose: is a parent and child rhyme, song and storytelling group aimed at increasing the interaction between parents and their 0-2 year old children.
• Busy Bodies – A play based, parent training group therapy program for children aged 2-3 years with play, motor and communication delays.
• School Readiness – A group therapy program for children who have attended the service for Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy to facilitate transition to school.
Individual sessions are for children up to 12 years of age.
Priority is given to families whose parents live, work or study or their children attend school, preschool or child care in the City of Boroondara.
