Provision of psychiatric triage and crisis assessment and treatment of clients aged 16 – 65 years, living in the cities of Melbourne and Moonee Valley.
Psychiatric triage provides 7 day a week, 24 hours a day service.
The service comprises:
-- Intake, which is the initial point of contact for all referrals.
-- Inner West Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) providing psychiatric assessment and intervention to clients in psychiatric crisis in the community.
-- The Enhanced Crisis Assessment and Treatment service (ECATT) is located in the Emergency Department of The Royal Melbourne Hospital. It provides a consultation and liaison service to the Emergency Department for patients who present with psychiatric symptoms.
-- The Consultation and Liaison service provides psychiatric services to inpatients of The Royal Melbourne Hospital who are admitted to units other than the Emergency Department.
Persons aged 16 – 65 years of age.
To provide expert psychiatric assessment, care and support to consumers experiencing symptoms of mental illness and to additionally support family and carers.<
