The Amaroo Day Club is a centre based day care program for people who have dementia and is based at Lavington. We operate on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.00am to 3.00pm. A prior diagnosis of dementia is required to attend this service. The purpose of this club is to support people with dementia to remain living independently in the community, promote social interaction and provide carers with respite. A wide variety of flexible activities which encourage participation, mental stimulation and the maintenance of physical abilities in a social setting, Activities also include outings, entertainment, gentle exercise, reminiscing, physical games, art and craft, gardening, walking groups and cooking just to name a few.
