Neami Joondalup is a former June O'Connor Centre (JOC) service location.
Neami Joondalup provides support to individuals living with mental illness who require support in relation to community living, education, employment, and management of their wellbeing. Neami Joondalup's services are provided to individuals, or delivered as structured groups.
Neami Joondalup's services include: •Facilitating a Recovery Plan with the client along with the inclusion of any other participants that the client deems appropriate in the development of the plan; integrating existing recovery plans where appropriate
•The provision of cultural support options for the client •Assisting the client to access a range of services, including community based activities, social networks, health intervention, education, employment options, vocational and social services
•Collaboration with mental health services as appropriate
•Facilitating links to natural support (i.e.: family) and finding strength by developing positive relationships within their family and with carers
•Facilitating links to natural supports in the wider community (i.e.: social and cultural networks) to improve independence and community integration
•Where required, assisting the client to manage household tasks and the activities that enable daily living, which maybe include personal care and hygiene as well as financial and domestic skills
•Providing an appropriate Key Worker to the client taking into account a consistent ongoing relationship
