Activity groups are for people who want to make friends, enjoy trips, outings and visits or get some time out.  All activity groups have qualified and experienced staff on hand to help. The groups are for people aged 65+ or 50+ if Aboriginal or/and Torres Strait Islander. Weekly centre-based respite is also available for people who care for someone at home. These information sessions have regular guest speakers, covering all aspects of diabetes and its management. The group provides a forum for self-help and social support in self managing your diabetes. 
Meetings are held at Castlemaine District Community Health, on the first Thursday of every month, between 10 -11am.

A program varying from time to time, of recreational activities including quality time, fun time, craft, women's group, youth group, men's group, men in sheds & singing group. They also offer a comprehensive selection of computer and internet programs.

This site operates a medical practice with GPs supported by community health nurses and Allied Health staff.

Bendigo Community Health Services - Kangaroo Flat Site

Respite (short term 3+ hours) overnight, individualised support, short term respite, day support, emergency support and in-home respite.

Respite available for all ages including children.

Asteria

A meeting place and drop-in centre providing social support and recreational activities for people aged 55 years and over. Includes art group, card games, indoor bowls, craft groups, social days and a walking group. A small fee applies.

A Support Group for people with Menieres Disease, their families and carers.

Meniere's Support Group - Bendigo and Region

Our Centre have trained male and female Welfare / Compensation Advocates who offer guidance to ALL ex and current serving Military personnel, partners and their families, through the treatment and claims processes of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Our Centre is manned by volunteers who give their time free of charge however donations to keep our Centre running are welcomed but not compulsory.
