The purpose-built Day Procedure Unit has significantly increased the hospital's patient capacity by freeing up beds for impatient admissions. The unit has greatly improved comfort and convenience for day patients.

Key facts about the Day Procedure Unit: 

-- An enlarged Day Procedures Unit within an expanded Operating Theatre complex.

-- The Day Procedures Unit includes private areas for each individual patient, with personal television set, to maximise patient comfort and privacy with space for 14 patients.

-- There are private interview rooms for Medical Officers & Nursing staff to carry out interviews.

-- A separate, dedicated chemotherapy lounge with space for 7 patients has been provided.

-- Admission times to hospital are now streamlined to be as close as possible to your theatre time. Generally, 1-1.5 hours prior.

-- You can generally be collected by a responsible adult within two hours after your procedure.
