Dialectical Behaviour Informed (DBI) NDIS funding: Improved Daily Living 15_042_0128_1_3
The DBI program is delivered by specialist mental health workers training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). The program teaches oparticipants to learn skills to manager their own emotions and behaviours in order to navigate difficult life situations with dignity and emotional intelligence. The modules include:
• Mindfulness
• Distress Tolerance
• Emotional Regulation
• Managing personal relationships
DBI groups meet weekly throughout the entire year and run for 2.5 hours.
Optimal Health Program NDIS funding: Improved Daily Living 15_042_0128_1_3
The Optimal Health Program (OHP) was developed by a specialist team at St Vincent's Hospital has been trialed and perfected over many years. It is evidence based and teaches participants how to gauge their current mental health status and learn to identify deterioration and develop strategies.
Person Centred Recovery Groups- One and Two NDIS funding: Improved Daily Living 15_042_0128_1_3
Both Person Centred Recovery Groups – One and Two focus on learning and developing a wide range of strategies to decrease negativity and develop/increase optimism and positive thinking. The groups help participants gain greater insight into their own personal mental health; identify strengths and values and develop goals that are person centred. This group is funs and uplifting. It is designed to strengthen motivation to own and take control of your recovery. Not only are our facilitators highly skilled and trained, but they are also peer workers who have lived experience and deeply understand the complexities of men tal health.
