Open 24 hours. The nPEP Hotline is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week hotline for members of the public who have or think they may have had a sexual or other non-occupational exposure to HIV. Anyone can call the nPEP hotline service - no referral is necessary. See http://www.dh.sa.gov.au/pehs/communicable-diseases-index.htm website for more information: EntryProcedures Calls are answered by a Registered Nurse in the call centre. The RN will conduct a risk assessment based on the information provided by the caller, help the caller decide whether to access nPEP and, will either refer to an nPEP distribution point, provide information, or refer the caller to another service. The RN will also record call statistics.
