Advocare provides advocacy and representation for people who cannot represent themselves and where other sources of personal advocacy support are not available or practical. Advocare advises on people's rights and sources of help and support in the community. This ensures people have all the information they need to help them make an informed decision. Advocare also provides education to the wider community, such aged care staff and recipients, students, health professionals and older community members to further their understanding of older people's rights and responsibilities, prevention of elder abuse and the purpose of professional advocacy.
