The newly opened Adult Mental Health Unit (AMHU) at building 25 has been designed to create an environment that provides people with hope, choice, privacy and personal space.
The building has been designed to incorporate good environmental practice. The unit has in-floor heating and cooling. There is extensive use of double glazing which will maximise the use of natural light.
The purpose of the unit is to provide a therapeutic setting where consumers can receive treatment and care. This includes the opportunity to plan to engage with other mental health teams and the broader mental health sector, so they can receive treatment more easily once they are discharged from the unit.
Public visiting hours are:
Monday to Friday: 12:30pm to 1:30pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am to 8:00pm
