Hours: Wednesdays, by appointment.The Maternal & Child Health Nurse also conducts home visits and is available for telephone contact and inquiries Monday - Wednesday.
Council provides a Maternal & Child Health nursing service jointly funded by Council and the State Government. Under this arrangement, Council receives notification of all births to mothers residing in the Shire. All notifications are responded to and personal contacts are arranged.
Maternal & Child Health Services assist mothers and fathers to develop their parenting skills and increase understanding of child behaviour, as well as monitoring the growth and development of babies and young children.
A 24 hour statewide Maternal & Child Health Line is available for information by telephoning 132 229.
